On Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.TUC’s EURECA-PRO team (staff and student ambassadors) will be hard at work at the Science Building on TUC Campus, engaging young children in various interactive, playful and bilingual activities exploring Responsible Consumption and Production (RCP) and the EURECA-PRO European University Alliance, as part of the Science and Technology Day "Thelma Mavridou" event.

Innovation & Enterpreneurship Short Lecture Series

The Innovation & Enterpreneurship Short Lecture Series of EURECA-PRO European University on Responsible Consumption and Production  aims to foster entrepreneurial activity within the EURECA-PRO community and bring the R&I sector one step closer to industry, society and communities at large.

Energy Transition

EURECA-PRO (The European University on Responsible Consumption and Production) is starting the 5th free online lecture series consisting of 14 lectures presented by leading professors and researchers. The general topic of the series is Introduction to Sustainable Development Goals with emphasis on Responsible Consumption and Production.

The specific topic of the upcoming winter semester 2024 series is "Energy Transition", illustrated by the following thematic areas:

  • EU Green Deal and energy transition
  • Infrastructure for energy transition
  • Energy markets
  • Energy technologies
  • Transition strategies
  • Materials for energy transition
  • Environmental impacts

This lecture series will be presented by leading professors and researchers of nine European universities from eight countries.

The lectures are open to all students, researchers and academic staff inside and outside EURECA-PRO.

SMI (Sustainability Management for Industries) Online Forum

The SMI (Sustainability Management for Industries) Online Forum, scheduled to take place on November 5th, 2024, is an international online event planned for the first time by the Chair of Economics and Business Management (WBW) in cooperation with the European University EURECA-PRO (The European University on Responsible Consumption and Production), in which current topics on the "Green Transformation" of European industrial companies are discussed. In line with the SMI discussion platform, topics from international speakers from science and industry will be presented and discussed with participants in this new online format.

Invited Lecture: Associate Professor Adrian Florea (Univ of Petrosani) - Audiovisual Highlights

The Technical University of Crete (TUC), proud member of the European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO), organizes a series of open scientific lectures in the context of faculty exchange visits.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, TUC hosted Dr. Adrian Florea, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mining, Department of Environmental Engineering and Geology, University of Petroşani, Romania, with funding and support from the ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program.

Dr. Florea delivered a lecture on "GEOVIA Surpac Applications in Slope Stability Analysis and Air Quality Modelling" (all details about this lecture can be found on the linked announcement).
